Creating Projects
Creating a project is the normal way to start a new piece of work in Ciaro. A project becomes the container for your script, scenes, shots, images, and related workflow steps.
How many projects can you keep active?
Active project limits are rendered from the live plan configuration:
| Plan | Active projects |
|---|---|
| Free | 1 |
| Indie | 2 |
| Pro | Unlimited |
| Studio | Unlimited |
| Studio Plus | Unlimited |
| Studio Max | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Unlimited |
Typical starting point
Most users create a new project from the Projects dashboard. Once created, the project opens into the workspace so you can begin adding content and moving through the storyboarding flow.
If project creation is blocked
If Ciaro does not let you create another project, the most common reason is an active project limit on your current plan.
In that case, the usual solutions are:
- archive projects you are not actively using
- review whether older projects still need to remain active
- upgrade your plan if you need more active capacity
Practical tip
If you are new to Ciaro, create the project first and then use the AI Assistant to decide the next best step. It is often the fastest way to get from a blank project into a structured workflow.
