AI Assistant

The AI Assistant is the central AI feature in Ciaro.

It is available across the application and helps with both understanding and action. You can use it to ask questions, get guidance, trigger AI actions, and move faster through your current workflow without hunting for tools screen by screen.

Where to find it

On story views you get two related controls on the left side:

• AI gutter (top) — expandable list of contextual actions such as AI wizard, Analyze script, scene/shot tools, and Learning center (lightbulb)
• Assistant button (bottom) — round button to open chat or voice

The Assistant stays available across the app so you can get help without leaving your current screen.

What it helps with

The assistant can help you:

• understand how features work
• figure out what to do next in your project
• trigger relevant AI actions for the current screen
• work with your script and story structure
• move from script to scenes, scenes to shots, and shots to images
• get general workflow support anywhere in the application

Other AI tools are either surfaced through the assistant or work alongside it.

Two ways to use it

Chat

Open chat when you want explanation, guidance, or conversational help.

This is useful when you want to ask things like:

• how a feature works
• what step should come next
• why something is not giving good results
• how to use a workflow more effectively

Contextual actions

The assistant can also act as a launcher for the most relevant AI tasks on the current screen.

Examples include:

• formatting story text
• detecting scenes
• detecting characters
• creating shots
• generating images

Why it changes across the app

The assistant is context-aware. It reacts to where you are and what stage your project is in.

For example:

• in the Script Editor, it is more focused on script preparation and structure
• in Board / Preview Flow, it is more focused on scene follow-up, shots, and image progress
• in views without dedicated AI actions, it still remains useful as a chat assistant and guide

Voice is part of the assistant too

The assistant is not limited to typed chat. Ciaro also supports voice conversation with the assistant.

That means you can talk to it while working. For many users, this is the fastest way to ask short workflow questions, clarify the next step, or get help without breaking concentration.

When to open it

Open the assistant when:

• you want to know what a tool does
• you are unsure what to do next
• you want AI to handle the next obvious step
• you want help without leaving the current screen

When in doubt, click the AI Assistant. It is the most reliable starting point for AI help anywhere in Ciaro.
