Board View AI Actions
The AI Assistant in Board view can surface actions that match the current state of your project.
This helps you move from structure to images without having to search through menus for the next likely step.
Common Board view actions
Scenes
Use this when the script has changed and the scene structure needs to be reviewed again, or when you need to detect scene breaks for the first time.
This scene
Use this when a scene is selected and you want to split only that scene into storyboard shots. This is the best option when you want tighter control over the shot breakdown.
All shots
Use this when no scene is selected and you want to split every scene into shots automatically. This creates a first-pass scaffold across the storyboard: scenes get shot/panel cards with descriptions and image prompts.
Images / Fill gaps
Use Images when the storyboard already has shots with prompts and you want to batch-generate first-pass images across the board. If some shots already have images, the action may appear as Fill gaps and will generate only the missing images.
How to use these well
These actions work best as accelerators, not as replacements for judgment.
A reliable approach is:
- review scene structure before generating too much at once
- use This scene when you want more control over a specific scene
- use All shots when you want a fast scaffold for every scene
- treat batch-generated images as a first pass
- refine important shots individually by hovering the shot, clicking Create or Edit, and generating in Create View
Practical tip
If the assistant offers an action in Board view, it is usually because the project is ready for that next step. It can be one of the fastest ways to keep momentum in the workflow.
