Troubleshooting image prompts

Images don't match my prompt

  1. Be specific about this shot: action, placement, time of day, and lighting that belongs in frame.
  2. Confirm Art direction is the look you want. If you changed it, regenerate — old images will not update by themselves.
  3. Use / chips for characters, props, and slot images instead of renaming people in prose.
  4. Generate a few variations, then refine in Edit instead of rewriting everything from scratch.
  5. Do not stack extra mediums ("anime watercolor cinematic Pixar") on top of a look you already picked.

Tips for better prompts

  • Describe what is unique to this frame. Art direction already carries the drawing medium.
  • Use prepared character portfolio images when identity matters.
  • Keep one clear idea per shot.
  • Use the prompt assistant to tighten wording — ask it to respect the current look, not invent a new one.

When results are consistently off

  • Check Art direction first (pill name vs what you expected).
  • For a custom look, confirm the tile is selected and has a look plate.
  • Try another image model if the current one ignores references or over-smooths.
  • Simplify the prompt; add detail only where the last frame failed.
  • If faces drift, put a stronger portrait in a reference slot rather than adding more style adjectives. See Reference-based generation.
