Characters and Image Portfolios

In Ciaro, a character is the story entity and its image portfolio is the visual reference set used to keep that character recognizable.

Character

A character represents who the person is in the narrative and usually includes things such as:

  • name
  • description
  • physical traits
  • outfit details
  • story role or context
  • selected image and image portfolio

Characters belong to the story.

Image portfolio

The image portfolio is the set of generated, uploaded, edited, or sketched images attached to the character in Entity Builder.

The selected image is the current visual anchor. Other portfolio images stay available as references when generating or editing future shot images.

Why this distinction matters

A character tells the story who the person is. The selected image and image portfolio help the system keep that person visually recognizable.

If consistency matters, prepare the character in Entity Builder before heavy shot generation. Create a strong image portfolio, select the best representative image, then drag those pictures into Create View reference slots. Ciaro does not train a separate character model. See Reference-based generation.
