Create View

Create View is the workspace where you generate and refine images for individual shots. Hover a shot on the Board or Concept canvas, then click Create (no image yet) or Edit (image already exists) on the shot. Do not double-click the shot.

What you can do

  • Choose an image generation model
  • Set the project's Art direction (the look for new shot images)
  • Write or refine your shot prompt
  • Generate images and compare variations
  • Edit existing images with text prompts, paint-to-inpaint, or camera transforms
  • Draw sketches and turn them into frames
  • Add arrows and speech bubble annotations
  • Use reference images (characters, props, locations) in slots, with / chips in the prompt

Art direction

The Art direction control (a pill with the look name, or a compact icon on the canvas) is how you pick the project look: Cinematic, a built-in illustrated treatment, or a custom style you prepared for this story.

That choice applies to new shot generations across the project. It does not restyle character portraits in Entity Builder. Existing shot images keep their old look until you regenerate.

Write prompts about the scene. Do not restate the drawing medium unless you mean to override the look for a one-off.

See Art Direction in the Styles section, and Reference-based generation for how slots and chips keep people and objects consistent.

Modes

Create View has tabs in the mode selector at the top. Typical tools include:

  1. Image: Generate new images from prompts and reference images.
  2. Edit: Modify an existing image — text edits, paint-to-inpaint, and transform controls.
  3. Sketch: Draw a layout and use it as a generation reference.
  4. Arrows: Annotate frames with arrows and speech bubbles.

Edit and Arrows need a generated image first.

Layout

  • Top / chrome: Mode tabs and close
  • Generation workspace: Canvas, model, Art direction, references, prompt
  • Asset Manager: Browse the story's files and drag useful images into reference slots
  • Prompt editor: Describe this shot; type / to insert character, prop, and slot chips

Confirm Art direction, fill reference slots from Asset Manager, generate a few variations, pick the closest one, then refine in Edit instead of re-rolling from scratch every time.
